Interview Coaching

16 June 2026

After more than 30 years in recruitment and talent acquisition, helping businesses grow through the introduction of exceptional people, there is one time of year that always gives me a particular sense of excitement.

It's the season when school leavers and graduates begin taking their first steps into the job market.

For many young people, securing that first role can feel overwhelming. They may have the qualifications, enthusiasm and potential, but often lack the confidence or interview experience needed to showcase themselves effectively.

This is where I love being able to help.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career is supporting young people as they prepare for interviews and take those important first steps into the world of work. Helping someone recognise their strengths, communicate their achievements, and present themselves with confidence can make a real difference to the outcome.

With interview season now in full swing, I would be delighted to offer mock interviews via Microsoft Teams for school leavers and graduates who would like some practice and constructive feedback.

A mock interview provides a safe environment to:
• Build confidence
• Practise answering common interview questions
• Learn how to structure responses effectively
• Improve communication and presentation skills
• Receive honest, supportive feedback from someone with over three decades of recruitment experience

There is nothing quite like seeing a young person walk into an interview feeling prepared and self-assured, and even more rewarding is hearing that they have secured their first job offer.

If you are a school leaver, graduate, parent, grandparent, teacher, or know someone who would benefit from a mock interview, please feel free to get in touch or share this post.

Helping young people succeed at the start of their careers, as I helped my own three children, remains one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do.
