Quality Inspector
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Quality Inspector to work for our client in the Walsall area.
The role will require experience in Light Press Work, Welding and Assembly work. Experience working within an ISO9001:2015 organisation would be advantageous.
Duties and responsibilities:
Inspection, measuring and testing of parts and components through the product process using various equipment (verniers, micrometres, thickness, and hardness testers).
Complete final audit inspections
Assist with calibration of internal measuring equipment
Log internal non conformances
Assist with 8D investigations
Sample testing
Work closely with the Production Team
Investigation
Assist the Group Quality Manager
The candidate:
Experience with a variety of handheld measuring equipment.
Training will be given to use the sites CMM.
Basic Computer Skills are required.
The ability to read and understand technical drawings is required.
The role requires the candidate to conduct First off and Patrol inspection and Goods inwards inspection.
The candidate will support the site Production Team as well as the Group Process Improvement Engineer.
The candidate will report to the Group Quality Manager.
The site operates a 40-hour week 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2pm on Friday with 25 days Holiday per year plus Bank Holidays.
