£35-40,000 basic; £50,000 OTE + car and other benefits

We are seeking a Key Account Manager responsible for sales and business development of a number of highly distinguished consumer brands to retailers/resellers across the UK & Ireland.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for securing a strong market share for each brand by maintaining strong customer relationships, monitoring inventory turn & replenishment and developing promotional initiatives with the established network of key retailers/resellers across the territory.

Key duties will include:

Reaching quarterly budgets for each key account.

Focusing on the maintenance & growth of category market share within agreed profit parameters.

Developing a strong rapport and partnership with all key decision-makers and relevant support staff at each key account to promote sales success.

Securing a strong representation of branding and product selection in each customer’s active sales channels including bricks & mortar, e-commerce and catalogue sales.

Analysing sales and inventory data in order to support stock turn, and secure inventory replenishment and investment from each key dealer.

Developing key customer quarterly marketing plans to enhance consumer excitement and support stock turn.

Collaborating with Product Management and Marketing personnel to roll out product launches and marketing campaigns through key accounts in sync with supply guidelines and the divisional marketing calendar.

Travelling extensively throughout the territory with regular overnight stays, with a self-managed call plan to make scheduled in-person visits to the headquarters and branches of all key customers.  

Working from a home-office in order to conduct planning & analysis, customer support, sales-prospecting and administration tasks.

Attending regular head-office meetings and participating with insightful reporting and compelling ideas.

Providing market & competitor insights and suggesting action plans.

Reporting & communicating effectively using Company IT systems and following defined Company procedures.

Attending and contributing to industry events, exhibitions and trade fairs to include occasional international travel.

To apply:

An experienced salesperson with a proven track record of success, ideally FMCG/Retail.

Experience of inventory management, forecasting and data analysis.

An ambitious, self-motivated individual, able to thrive both independently and in a team.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical skills, able to provide qualitative & quantitative review of data.

A ‘can do’, problem-solving attitude to resolving issues and meeting expectations.

Capable of producing creative/inventive/insightful ideas for sales & marketing initiatives

Effective time-management, planning and multitasking abilities.

Organised and reliable with good administration skills.

Numerate and IT literate
