Our client is a long-established engineering company based in Birmingham, with a fabulous heritage spanning over 50 years. Renowned for the exceptional quality of the components they produce, their client base consists of many prestigious names in the field of Automotive Manufacturing and other sectors.

As part of their growth plans moving forward they are looking to strengthen their team through the recruitment of a Logistical Operator responsible for assisting in the day to day running of the logistics department, working closely with the Logistics Manager, Quality Department, Commercial Department, Machining Department, Polishing Department and Production Team.

Key duties include:

• Comply with Health & Safety policy.
• Responsible for following Logistical processes set out such as booking stock in/out correctly.
• Responsible for ensuring items that are finished and are ready to be packed have route cards.
• Ensure all items are wrapped/packed correctly and put into the correct dispatch location.
• Responsible for area housekeeping.
• Responsible for the replenishment of consumable items such as boxes & gloves.
• Ensure all items that are brought down to the Logistics department locations are in the correct area.
• Operate the forklift for tasks directed by the Logistics manager.
• Ensure route cards are completed and the parts moved onto the next operation immediately when finished. (sub-con)
• General cleaning duties.
• Cover holiday requirements for the Logistics Driver.
• Carry out any other jobs delegated by the logistics manager.

Hours of work:

7.00am-4.00pm Monday –Thursday; 7.00am-12.00pm Friday
