Junior Design Engineer - Walsall

Our client, a long-established manufacturer & supplier of components to a multitude of industrial sectors is seeking a Junior Design Engineer as part of their ongoing expansion plans.

Key duties include:

Using CAD (Solidworks) to create 3D CAD models and technical drawings of both new and existing stock.

Recreation of CAD models from paper drawings as well as customer drawings.

Using measuring equipment to create 3D CAD models and technical drawings from physical samples.

Liaising with the sales & marketing department to help provide information and design solutions to the problems posed by a wide customer base.

Production of samples and models via 3D printing also expected going forward.

Managing & updating the existing CAD library and technical drawings.

Working on the shop-floor as required, involving roles such as programming and setting of CNC machines (full training provided).

This is an excellent opportunity for a degree (or equivalent) educated Design Engineer looking to make a real difference and become a key part of the team. Extensive training will be provided.

 On offer for this Junior Design Engineer role is a very competitive package including a basic salary in the region of £25,000 plus excellent benefits.
