CAD/CNC Designer/Programmer

Excellent package and career prospects into Operations/Manufacturing Management

Our client, a long established and leading designer & manufacturer of precision components to a multitude of industrial sectors including automotive, aerospace, oil, gas & petrochemical is seeking a CAD/CNC Designer/Programmer as part of their ongoing expansion.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established & progressive family-owned SME business with fantastic growth opportunities, working within an excellent modern working environment.

General duties include the design of internal parts using CAD, programming and operating state of the art equipment such as an ABB YuMi Collaborative Robot, a Hurco VM20i 4th Axis Miller, and a Makerbot Method X 3D Printer.  Also the setting and operation, when required, of Conventional Millers / Lathes.

You will be producing low to medium volume batches of precision parts working with both plastic and metal.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced designer / programmer, ideally familiar with Fusion 360 / Inventor CAD software, converting the design into a machined part for it to then be part assembled using a collaborative robot.  Experience working with Conventional milling and turning machines is also important as this will be included within the role day to day producing precision components along with the ability to measure parts using both traditional and CMM techniques.

Enhanced training will be provided if required.

Working hours are Mon-Thurs 8am to 4:30pm, Fri 8am to 1pm
