Assistant Tutor
Our client is a small training company based in the Black Country. They deliver in various locations: Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Dudley and Walsall, and act as a recruitment service for the NHS and recruit unemployed people for jobs with the Black Country NHS Foundation Trust.
Their delivery module is unique and is based on helping learners build confidence and require skills that will enable them to apply and enjoy a successful interview (at the end of the training course). Their learners are unemployed adults. Their methods are also unique, placing emphasis on offering a full support package to their learners, placing a great deal of effort in making their course a lot of fun. Current success rate is around 80% into work.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic person to join their team as an assistant tutor. The role initially will involve setting up class, looking after IT, charging laptops, cleaning laptops, breaking down class, arranging refreshments and general support for the tutor running class. This will suit someone wanting to get into teaching longer term and if teaching qualifications weren’t currently achieved, (not essential) our client would consider putting the successful candidate through their initial teaching qualifications. The successful candidate will be a people’s person and have a caring nature. A sense of humour and good manners are a must.
In time we would like to see this candidate promoted to Tutor.
A company vehicle (small van) will be provided and be available for private use. The van is essential as o ur clent move classrooms on a weekly basis. Think of them as a small traveling training company!
Driving licence is obviously, essential.
35 Hours per week, flexible hours dependant on set up times in various locations. It may be that one week you are setting up at 0800 and another week 0900. Total flexibility required.
Class runs for four weeks then a week in the office and repeat.
Initial salary for this Assistant Tutor role is £20,000
