PHP Developer

We are seeking a suitably skilled and confident PHP Developer to manage, maintain and enhance an existing in-house master data management platform.

The position is office based and will require you to work as part of an established team, liaising with stakeholders.          

Main duties & responsibilities include but not limited to:          

Troubleshoot and debug the existing system.

Evaluate existing applications to refactor, update and add new features.

Publish technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code.

Work with existing department processes and tools in respect to version control, application delivery, etc

Skills & Requirements:

Besides a strong knowledge of modern PHP development the successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate a reasonable level of competency in the following:

• CSS/HTML
• git
• Office Suite applications (Excel, Word or equivalents)
• Javascript
• SQL
• RESTful API development
• Basic Linux system admin (CentOS/RHEL/Fedora)

A familiarity with the following would be advantageous:

CI/CD (especially gitlab), common internet protocols (FTP/HTTP/HTTPS/SSH), DataTables, Linux scripting (POSIX/Bash), working in a cloud platform environment (GCP)
