Technical Manager
Our client is a long-established SME engineering company based in the West Midlands
renowned for the exceptional quality of the components they produce. Their client base consists of many prestigious names in the manufacturing sector. As part of their ongoing expansion they now require a Technical Manager to perform the following key duties.
Ownership of Feasibility & New Product study – including project management of actions & maintenance of all necessary documentation throughout that process
Perform ‘Route Card verification’ in support of ERP System
Effect cost-savings from Sales through to Production by contributing to Product Design and Process Improvement
Review development work for production intent, incorporating all functions necessary at all stages within that system.
Interlock with Production and ERP system to introduce capacity planning module
Ensure that sufficient Plant capacity is optimised and available as required by Production demands
Create & Maintain plans to support & capture these requirements and setting appropriate KPI’s
Hands-on approach to Factory moves and improvements including infrastructure
Implement and manage a Preventative Maintenance programme.
Responsible for building maintenance
Technical Reporting
Implementing an “Up-skilling programme” for designated workforce. Hands-on approach to training personnel
Creating, maintaining and managing individual ‘Personal Development Plans’
Defining, implementing and managing KPI’s against individual performance
Contributing and where appropriate actioning on the Company Strategy for Resource Management
Understanding and demonstrating the company’s Technical capabilities in front of customers
Attending customer sites to support Sales engagements
Working with Sales to define and refine Technical capabilities in-line with the Sales Strategy owned by the Technical Sales Manager
Representation at Trade shows and Marketing events as required.
On offer is an excellent package including a basic salary in the region of £28,000-£35,000 subject to experience plus benefits
