Quality Engineer
Our client is a long established engineering company based in Birmingham, with a fabulous heritage spanning over 50 years. Renowned for the exceptional quality of the components they produce, their client base consists of many prestigious names in the field of Automotive Manufacturing and other sectors.
As part of their growth plans moving forward they are seeking an ambitious Quality Engineer to ensure product & processes conform to requirements.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, key duties will include:
Ensuring products leaving the Company meet with Customer requirements.
Ensuring the continued compliance of the Quality Management System to documented procedures and to IATF16949:2016 Quality System and specific Customer requirements.
Representing the Company in dealing with customers and suppliers
New projects approvals to Customer requirements, Customer / Supplier Development and Company Quality awareness projects.
Attending Quality Review Meetings with respective personnel where necessary i.e. Internal / Customer / Supplier
Accountability for all Inspection Activities on a daily basis in conjunction with Production / Shopfloor Managers and Production employees to ensure product conformity is being maintained.
Calibration of Company used measuring and Test equipment
Ensuring supplier certification is maintained and up to date
Assisting and develop company procedures and process flows
Conducting internal system / product and process audits
Supporting the Quality function in compiling IMDS information for all Automotive Customers & other submissions i.e. BEON
