Service Engineer - All Terrain Vehicles – Stoke Prior

Role

Reporting to the workshop manager, you will be responsible for carrying out modifications, maintenance and services to a wide range of all-terrain ground maintenance vehicles and associated trailers

Responsibilities to include:

  • Inspecting vehicles and trailers for mechanical/electrical faults
  • Diagnosing issues accurately and suggesting correct repairs or improvements
  • Carry out required maintenance, services and upgrades
  • Building new vehicles and reviewing against client’s specifications
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspection checks and complete paperwork
  • Perform diagnostic testing of vehicles, and replacement of worn components
  • To complete daily job cards in clear writing
  • Carry out work in an organised and safe manner, including daily housekeeping of the workshop and wash bay area
  • Notifying the workshop manager of any dangerous risks or hazards
  • Carrying out any additional general duties required by the workshop manager, including organising and assisting with equipment for shows

Requirements

  • Possess relevant vehicle or agricultural maintenance qualifications
  • Possess 3 years or above hands-on experience in repairing relevant equipment
  • Experienced in carrying out fault finding and maintenance on transmissions, brakes, engines, steering and electrical systems
  • Experienced in reading and interpreting vehicle manuals, parts diagrams and instruction books from a range of manufacturers
  • Must have a positive approach to colleagues, customers and clients

Package

Up to £26,000 basic, based on experience and qualifications

Hours

7.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30 am to 3.30 pm on Fridays. If you are required to work any weekends it will be as agreed overtime at time and a half
