Internal Sales Executive, Redditch £25k + OTE £33k

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the role will be to carry out outbound sales activity, generating interest and leads as part of the wider sales team.  A key part of this role will be the operational support of the external sales team, assisting with closing orders and providing office support with the creation of sales paperwork, and ensuring the CRM database is maintained and managed.

The role is of key importance to the sales team as the successful candidate will be vital to generating qualified leads and appointments for the Regional Sales Managers and will spend most of their time making outbound sales calls.  In addition, the candidate needs to be a confident CRM user, who is able to support the Internal Sales Manager with the management of the database, ensuring that data is up to date and relevant.

The candidate will be part of a small, passionate sales team who is tasked with exceeding sales targets and helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Internal Sales Executive duties: 

  • Development of larger customers, arranging appointments for Regional Sales Managers and Sales Manager.
  • Utilising construction databases to identify opportunities, make contact and arrange appointments for Regional Sales Managers.
  • Making targeted outbound sales calls to generate ongoing awareness and identify requirements for our products and services.
  • Managing CRM database records, ensuring data is accurately recorded and managed. 
  • Being the key point of contact internally for the CRM database, supplying reports and management information to the Internal Sales Manager.
  • Working closely with the regional sales managers, assisting them in winning business.
  • Following up sales quotes and leads accordingly, helping to resolve any issues and effectively close business.
  • Helping to produce quotes as required by the sales managers.
  • Proforma and order generation processing.
  • Holiday and absence cover for colleagues (Internal Sales & Admin)

Internal Sales Executive experience:

You will need to be a confident self-starter, who is keen to get stuck in and work to open doors and close business. 

The role needs someone who is also happy and able to work as a diverse team, understanding that the Regional Sales Managers need effective support to effectively manage their respective areas.  Therefore, the role would suit someone who is able to communicate effectively at all levels and enjoys providing a helping hand in a potentially pressured, customer-centric environment.

The role needs someone who has a keen eye for detail, who can follow procedures, whilst handling multiple ongoing sales projects.

Internal Sales Executive requirements: 

  • Have demonstrable experience as an internal sales representative, developing business over the telephone
  • Be a CRM and database ‘super user’ able to interrogate data and help manage and maintain our CRM database.
  • Have a confident telephone manner and the ability to build rapport quickly with a proactive approach to customer service
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of working to targets & KPI’s
  • To be able to positively support the sales team
