ICT & MIS Manager

£40-44,000 basic + benefits - 12 months FTC                                      

Our client, based near Halesowen in the Black Country, is seeking a talented IT Professional responsible for the overall management & performance of their ICT service, ensuring consistently high levels of availability of all systems & services, continuously developing them to improve effectiveness, efficiency, responsiveness, security, quality and customer satisfaction.

Key duties:

Support the review & refinement of the ICT strategy & roadmap in order to develop & deliver projects & solutions in support of business objectives.

Work with stakeholders to ensure optimum use of the solutions & systems in use through process and configuration reviews

Ensure all support requests are managed effectively and dealt with in accordance with the ICT policies and procedures

Deliver a high quality ICT service, to all internal customers.

Periodically review and ensure appropriateness of vendor support & maintenance contracts to meet business and operational needs.

Implement a process of continuous measurement, review, audit and benchmarking to monitor the security, capacity and performance of systems and customer satisfaction

Ensure timely software upgrades, bug and patch releases are managed and implemented with minimal disruption, to provide the most appropriate / current release

Ensure an effective, regularly tested and up to date DR / ICT Service Continuity plan is in place

Ensure software licensing compliance including appropriate updates and renewals programmes

Ensure appropriate hardware refresh & replacement processes are in place and adhered to

Maintain effective procedures for appropriately responding to critical and non-critical system alerts and operational events

Provide active leadership & motivation to the ICT team of 2 through appropriate managerial practices such as, learning & development, absence management, discipline and grievance etc.

Ensure that the objectives of team members are meaningful and in line with ICT and business strategy

Ensure that team members are professionally reviewed and that reviews are an accurate reflection of performance

Ensure appropriate team training needs are identified and addressed

 

Candidate Experience:

Knowledge of Office365, Sharepoint, Azura, SQL and housing related software, preferably OpenHousing, would be perfect

A proven track record of managing people

Experience of providing an excellent customer focused ICT service

Experience of working as part of a team

Experience of supporting the creation of ICT strategies, policies and procedures

Experience of system design and development

Experience of working to a given budget

Experience of supplier identification & relationship management

Ability to identify complex problems and provide effective solutions

Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field

Prince2 certification would be ideal

Demonstrable continuous professional development

Full UK driving licence
