Head of Housekeeping

(5 Star Luxury Lodges)

Our client, a prestigious visitor attraction with approaching one million visitors per annum, are currently seeking an experienced Head of Housekeeping for their 5 Star Luxury Lodges.

Key Duties

Recruit, train and develop the housekeeping team to deliver 5 Star standards of cleanliness and hygiene of bedrooms, bathrooms and public at all times.

Responsible for the security of lodges, guest property contained in lodges and all site property in your possession.

Ensure all public areas allocated to you are cleaned to the required standard.

Responsible for all clean and dirty linen and maintaining accurate records of all linen sent and received from/ to the laundry company according to Company standards.

Report any maintenance defects in a timely fashion to ensure the lodges are delivered to guest in an optimum fashion

Set out the accommodation SOP’s with the Accommodation & Events manager

Ensure guests privacy is respected across the whole team.

Ensure all standard checklists are implemented, used as prescribed and are achieved in all areas.

Ensure the cleanliness and checking of guests’ accommodation is carried out efficiently and that it is clean according to the Company brand standards.

Ensure that team members are correctly uniformed, in line with Company Standards, and understand the importance of personal hygiene.

Ensure that team members are punctual, polite, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times.

Prepare, check and monitor departmental forecasts and rotas to ensure they are in line with set budgets and meet the service and business needs.

Control costs through correct stock usage, storage and rotation Ensure par stock levels maintained, using prescribed purchase order systems, and minimising wastage.

Ensure accurate monthly stock-takes and actioning any discrepancies in line with Company standards.

Financial awareness and understanding of how the role impacts on the business’s Profit and Loss account.

Ensure the Company Health and Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislation are adhered to; this will involve actioning issues and carrying out appropriate training.

On offer is a basic salary in the region of £25,000 per annum.
