Graduate Engineer - Technical Service Desk


Are you a graduate engineer, seeking a technical advisory role, with support to continue your engineering studies to the next level? If so this could be the role for you!

We are working with a leading manufacturer of CNC machinery and tooling who is seeking a graduate engineer to join their busy technical team based near Dudley.


The role:

  • Providing technical information to clients on CNC machines, tooling and manufacturing processes
  • Creation and review of technical documents and manuals for CNC machinery and associated tooling
  • Discussing installation details with clients to ensure correct resources are allocated
  • Working with sales engineers to assist with clients technical questions and specifications
  • Investigating the machine's capabilities for improvement, through R&D


Suitable candidates:

  • A graduate engineer  (ideally with a 2:1 or a 1st)
  • Ideally possessing 12 months experience within a technical environment
  • You will possess a real passion for engineering processes, especially CNC machinery and associated tooling
  • You will enjoy using your technical knowledge to advise others and find solutions to customers problems
  • A desire to continue your learning and progress to the next academic level
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent preparation and organisational skills
  • Flexibility, honesty, trust, and commitment are essential as a team member in a very busy ’family’ environment.

Working hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour’s lunch

Holidays: 20 days + 8 Bank Holiday

Salary: up to £27k with support to continue your studies within Engineering
