Graduate Engineer
£24,000 basic salary (rising to £26,000 after 6 months, £28,000 after 12, £35,000 after 3 years and £40,000 after 5)
To ensure continued business success and expansion within a growing market sector a vacancy has been created for a self-motivated, experienced or newly qualified Graduate Engineer. The Graduate Engineer position will be subject to constant development with an initial objective to work as integral part of the Pre-Sales Design & Engineering team. The primary role will be to provide technical designs and written proposals in support of new business bids. The role will also include post sales design and documentation development in partnership with the Project Management team.
You will assist established senior project design engineers and receive on the job training. Additional training will be via global manufacturing suppliers and prescribed industry courses. Constant assessment at predetermined intervals will be undertaken to ensure the correct levels of understanding and achievement.
Experience/Skills Required:
A related engineering qualification to degree level for example in mechanical, electrical, or electronic discipline.
Excellent writing skills. Production of high-quality proposals and responses to PQQ and tender documents form a core part of the position. Candidates must demonstrate their writing abilities.
Highly motivated and career focused, with an uncompromising view on the achievement of excellence.
Prepared to work hard with good communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and deliver to timescales
Fully PC and Microsoft Literate
Use of AutoCAD or Visio Drawing Package would be useful
On offer for this Graduate Engineer role is a basic salary in the region of £24,000 basic, rising to £26,000 after 6 months and £28,000 after 12. In 3 years you can expect your salary to be £35,0000 and £40,000 after 5 years.
