Food & Beverage Manager

Our client is a prestigious visitor attraction with approaching one million visitors per annum. They are currently seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager responsible for the entire F&B function, developing & delivering high-quality products & services in order to exceed guests’ expectations, maintaining a key focus on profit, product quality and staff / guest welfare, achieving KPI’s and growth in line with department targets.

Key Duties:

Manage, monitor and enhance all F&B day to day operational units, ensuring staff are able to deliver effectively, to a high quality and resolve issues quickly.

Responsible for recruiting, training, appraising and managing individual’s performance, providing leadership, coaching, advice and feedback to enhance F&B performance.

Set and control seasonal staff wages within agreed targets, ensuring changes in response to varying guest volumes & needs are appropriately acted upon across all F&B units.

Handle guest complaints, taking genuine care in understanding their complaint and ensuring the complaint is resolved professionally and in a timely manner. Identifying and delivering staff training & development that will enable them to do the same. Where applicable, implementing preventative action to enhance the future guest experience.

Monitor the venue’s EPOS system for all F&B operations, ensuring the system is correctly maintained in a way that provides accurate sales and stock reports to monitor the departments output across the various F&B units.

Ensure cash handling procedures are followed within the department, and appropriately communicate with colleagues to rectify any issues.

Responsible for ensuring all F&B outlets have strict compliance with all food safety regulations, monitoring food and service quality to ensure high standards are achieved and maintained.

Responsible for ensuring all F&B outlets have strict compliance with all health & safety regulations, legislation and requirements, managing the creation, review, amending and implementation of the department’s health and safety documents and procedures.

Frequently review and develop the F&B product and menu range to meet guest profiles and expectations, while achieving agreed financial targets.

Constantly seek opportunities to improve expenditure and income, providing associated recommendations to the General Manager for financial consideration.

Frequently review & develop the product and menu range to meet guest profiles and expectations, while achieving agreed financial targets.

Ensure adequate departmental stock provisions, including procurement, stock management, costings, deliveries and storage.

Develop & maintain effective working relationships with external suppliers, ensuring high quality products and services are negotiated to achieve set financial targets.

Propose & provide insight-led suggestions to shape F&B financial targets and KPI’s, developing and supporting staff to achieve agreed targets.

Develop & maintain relationships with key contacts and represent the company at internal and external meetings and networking events.  

 

On offer is a basic salary in the region of £30,000 per annum plus bonus.
