Field Service Engineer – CNC Machinery

Are you a Midlands based field service engineer who is experienced in installing and maintaining machinery? If so this could be the role for you!

We are working with a leading manufacturer of CNC machinery and tooling who is seeking an experienced field service engineer to join their busy technical team covering the midlands area and above.

The role:

• Installing new and re-furbished CNC machinery into clients factories and process lines
• Carrying out basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic connections to existing main connections and breakers
• Carrying out diagnostics to identify and carry out breakdown repairs under service agreements
• Working with sales engineers to ensure the machine is installed correctly and signed off
• You will be covering a large area working on customers premises, as such, you may be required to work away when necessary

​Suitable candidates:

• Ideally based within 40 miles of Birmingham, you will be able to cover the Midlands area and above
• A time serviced apprentice fitter or qualified to HND / Degree in mechanical engineering
• Ideally possessing 12 months experience as a maintenance fitter, installing and maintaining machinery
• Good understanding of basic electrical connections for machinery
• Ability to fault find and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Ability to connect with the customer and be the face of the company
• Flexibility, honesty, trust, and commitment are essential

Working hours: Normally 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday with one hour’s lunch, however, flexibility is required due to possible workload and location

Holidays: 20 days + 8 Bank Holiday

Salary: up to £35,000 + Car
