Our client, a prestigious Birmingham City Centre B2B (business-to-business) events & conference venue is seeking an Events Operations Assistant to ensure the operational effectiveness of events & conferences by focussing on the setting up of rooms and events spaces. ensuring rooms are set up to an optimum standard for a varied programme of event activities including corporate and private hire events, conference and banqueting, profile rasing activity, exhibitions and cultural initiatives.
Specific duties include:
Preparing spaces across the venue portfolio ahead of events and bookings. This will include setting up tables and chairs and ensuring event equipment and refreshments are available.
Oversee and deliver the changeover of events spaces and set ups based on plans provided by the Events & Programmes team.
Work alongside appointed service providers and contractors to duty manage live events; this will include serving food & drink and clearing away.food and drink and clearing away.
Walk arounds and checks, ensuring quality of visitor experience across the site (i.e. cleanliness of events space, equipment availability, crockery and cutlery provision etc) and that WiFi, signage and building features are in working order.events space, equipment availability; crockery and cutlery provision etc.) and that WIFI, signage and building features are in working order.
Applications for this excellent Events Operations Assistant role are invited from candidates with a minimum of 12 months events/hospitality experience. The role will involve working evenings and some weekends.
On offer for this Events Operations Assistant role is a basic salary up to £24,000 plus excellent benefits including pension, private medical, 4 x life assurance, critical illness cover and 27 days holidays (+8 statutory).
