Electronic Design Engineer

Our client, an internationally renowned musical instrument amplification and professional audio products manufacturer with a global customer base & rich heritage, is seeking a highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable electronics engineer with a keen interest in electronics, embedded C programming and audio to expand their existing design team. This role will be based at their Halesowen HQ. 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

To design original Analog/Digital circuit ideas to fulfill design requirements. Deep understanding of electronics essential.

To implement DSP based audio designs, familiar with audio processing and effects in the digital domain

To research and implement microcontroller designs into audio products (using embedded C)

To build, evaluate and test prototype designs within the lab facility including fault finding to design level.

To Apply:

You should have a relevant degree in an electronics related subject or equivalent, along with at least 3 years’ experience is a similar, electronics engineering role.

Experienced in developing original electronic circuit designs, covering a wide range of digital & analogue technologies

Solid understanding of DSP coding and audio algorithms

A Solid understanding of Embedded Systems and Peripheral interfacing - you will be required to write & debug Embedded C code for various devices

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Wok to required deadline, be self-motivated, resourceful and organised

Useful (but not essential) additional skills include:

Understanding of high speed PCB layout to meet EMC requirements

Interest in Audio, Guitar and MI amplification products

USB communication

Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Communication and audio/data streaming.

LVD/EMC Compliance
