Business Development Manager
£25-30,000 basic + commission
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to promote & sell a range of training services to potential & existing clients, as well as account manage the existing clients and encourage renewals when the contract is due to end.
Key Duties:
Driving towards Sales targets through telephone activity, self-generation appointment setting and follow through leads generated through marketing activities
Maximise use of diary time & planning to fully utilise time in an area and to maintain regular contact though mailing updates and other services offered
Liaising with Head of Sales to monitor regularly the account activity in terms of usage and finance and to raise & manage any issues with the client
Attend all account management meetings and complete call and meeting records in CRM
Liaise with members of different teams within the business to ensure customer are provided with the highest levels of service
Liaise with Heads of Sales & Finance Manager to ensure clients are paying as per their contracts
Create long term business relationships with the portfolio of assigned clients.
Identify any new markets and sales opportunities
Work with the Marketing Team, identify new target markets and opportunities
Attend all new business meetings generated by self, marketing executive or through in bound enquiries.
Generate bespoke proposals within pricing parameters set out by board of directors
Utilise and communicate with marketing to help develop marketing strategies that are appropriate to the client’s future needs and to develop and market to new business areas.
Achieve yearly targets
Co-ordinate and set up meeting dates.
To be considered for this role:
Proven sales track record, ideally gained within the training sector, if not then business services.
Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Flexible attitude to work arrangements, with excellent attention to detail and well organised & disciplined and able to prioritise workload.
Shares our client’s values of flexibility, integrity, and enthusiasm.
Good standard of education, excellent verbal and written communication skills and familiar with a word, Excel, Powerpoint and experienced CRM system.
On offer:
Basic salary between £25-£30,000, subject to experience, plus commission. Our client offers a positive working environment. Hours of business are Monday - Friday 8.30 - 5pm. 23 days holiday initial which increases after length of service.
