Account Manager - Cheltenham - Salary dependant on experience - highly competitive

This is a leading health & beauty supplier to retailers and they are seeking an experienced FMCD/G Account Manager to join their international team looking after the well-established US market. There is occasional travel to the US but the majority of the time you will be with the International AM team at the amazing offices, there is also an opportunity for hybrid working (2 days) if you live a bit of a distance away from Cheltenham. 

Account Manager duties will include:

  • Build and deliver annual plans for growing the business in America
  • Drive channel strategy execution and range implementation with distributors to accelerate growth and optimise profitably 
  • Work with Marketing, Product, and Finance Teams to make and execute integrated business plans for growth and profit
  • Delivering monthly sales volumes and communicating to the Senior Regional Account Manager any changes to the budget, target, or expected annual profit delivery
  • In conjunction with local distributors, develop and implement joint business plans across major retailers in the market
  • Manage retailer promotional programs, ensuring maximum ROI and profitability by varying timings, mechanics and trade execution
  • Train and upskill the capability of the sales and distributor teams to increase effectiveness and rate of sale per store – driving best practise across the region
  • Drive distributor sales planning processes to increase forecasting accuracy and ensure monthly delivery of results
  • Partner with and oversee the management of distributors
  • Establish strong commercial relationships with key customers
  • Work with sales to build a network within the distributor and retailer relationships
  • Lead negotiations and annual top to top meetings with key retail customers

To be considered for the Account Manager role:

  • 3 - 4 years FMCD/G product Account Manager experience
  • Budget planning
  • Distributor and retailer relationship experience
  • Full understanding and ability to own the P&L for each brand. Detailed financial analysis by individual sales channel and SKU
