Accommodation & Venues Manager

£35,000 basic salary. + benefits

Our client, a prestigious visitor attraction with approaching one million visitors per annum, are currently seeking an experienced Accommodation & Venues Manager, reporting directly into the Managing Director, as part of their ongoing expansion.

Key Duties

To generate fit for purpose operating procedures for the Accommodation and Venues function, ensuring these are communicated between all team members to define and maintain an environment of continuous improvement, providing a high quality and client focused end-to-end service that exceeds expectations.

 

To strategically manage the Venues Deputy Managers to develop and convert available packages for all onsite Venues and public events, ensuring accurate and up to date offerings are achieved to set budgets and agreed standards.

 

To work in collaboration with the Managing Director to generate the annual budget, defining operating costs and staff wages in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, controlling all expenditure to achieve operational requirements.

 

To be responsible for recruiting, training, appraising, motivation and support whilst managing individual’s performance, providing leadership, coaching, advice and feedback to enhance team member and overall performance.

 

To work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing to contribute knowledge and insight to assist with the generation and delivery of effective marketing campaigns, tracking sales and adjusting campaigns and offerings to achieve set attendance figures and financial targets.

 

To generate and achieve strict stock control and audit compliance through detailed stock management procedures and reporting systems, ensuring adequate stock provisions, procurement, stock holding and loss prevention.

 

To regularly undertake performance, quality, and documentation reviews, ensuring any identified areas of development and improvement are implemented, while presenting

any financially related associated recommendations to the Managing Director for consideration.

 

To lead with the co-ordination and delivery of high-profile client events, ensuring clearly defined schedules of work are delegated and completed to required deadlines and set budgets.

On offer is a basic salary in the region of £25,000 per annum.

Experience Sought

A formal qualification in Business Management, Hospitality / Accommodation Management / Event Management

 

Experience in a similar position in a fast-paced hospitality / accommodation / leisure / tourism environment

 

Experience in achieving and maintaining quality control and customer service standards.

Experience in developing and leading a team to successfully focus on cost, sales and profit.

Demonstratable experience of the development and control of financial budgets.

Demonstratable long-term leadership approach, continuous improving products and services to drive sales and positive brand awareness.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a natural people person with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Expectational organisational and time management skills, remaining calm and focused when under pressure and delivering to set deadlines.

Ability to make proactive and reactive decisions in fast-paced environment, generating solutions that achieve fit for purpose operating procedures.

Ability to evaluate and translate current operating environment and business requirements to generate strategic business decisions.
