Our client, a precision engineering company operating predominantly in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defence & Medical sectors, is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager with immediate effect. As a European leader in their field, they require a high calibre, ambitious, highly self-motivated and results-focused Sales & Marketing professional to continue driving the business forward.
The company have strong approval status in place, including TS16949, AS9100, SC21 and ISO14001
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a classic hunter/farmer role. The successful candidate will, on the one hand, take responsibility for the day to day management of a current, multi-million , strategic account, and on the other hand be responsible for targeting new business acquisition.
To apply you should have a proven technical sales track record, all the better if this has been gained within the Automotive, Aerospace, Defence or Medical sectors and has included exposure to a high precision metal pressing/stamping environment.
A basic salary of 40,000 per annum is on offer, plus a very lucrative, open ended bonus scheme, car & other benefits.

A new role being created by this long established, UK based manufacturer of a wide range of products used in highways & industrial sectors throughout the UK. Following the successful launch several years ago of a new, innovative product range used in paving & road applications they have now created a role responsible specifically for this product range & market sector.
With a flexible home base in the Midlands / Central England, the role is responsible for building on existing sales & generating new opportunities within Local Authorities, Architects & Specifiers, Councils, Contractors & Designers. This can be a technically led sales process, educating potential customers on the features & benefits of this revolutionary system which has both time & cost advantages and getting specification at design stage. You will manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact, supporting customers with designs & applications through to overseeing the fulfillment of contracts.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of specification sales & a good understanding of the sales process through Local Authorities, Councils, Architects & Designers. Experience related to paving, street furniture, lighting or similar would be advantageous but by no means essential. You should be able to interpret technical drawings / designs & following training to offer technical advise to customers. Naturally you'll be a strong presenter with excellent communication skills, both written & verbal. You should be comfortable working from a fully expensed home base, with factory & customer visits as required.

Due to further expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pumps Division of one of the UK's leading industrial consumables/MRO providers, based in Dudley. This is predominantly an internal position working within a team of sales engineers. The occasional branch & site visit may be required from time to time.
The ideal candidate will have pump knowledge and be from a technical distribution/pump/mechanical background. An understanding of pump types and pumping systems is essential and an appreciation of different manufacturers would be a distinct advantage. A level of computer knowledge is expected which will include Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Key tasks will include:
Facilitate pump and pumping application enquiries from the branch network, from enquiry to quote/follow-up.
Offer solutions, costs, tenders and technical support to the branch network.
Use of internal process system for ordering and facilitating work flow.
Facilitate pump repairs and reporting.
Goods in / out - receiving deliveries and despatching orders
Stock control in warehouse.
An excellent package in the region of 26k-35k basic (dependent on knowledge/experience) plus benefits, including 25 days annual leave, is on offer, reflecting the importance of this appointment.

Overview:
A rapidly expanding supplier of Automated Material Handling equipment is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Sales Engineer to build upon their market share.
Depending upon your experience and qualifications, you will be provided with the training required to provide industries throughout the UK with integrated materials handling solutions. Your client base will include warehouse, ecommerce, distribution and logistics within the pharmaceutical, food & drink manufacturing sector.
The Person:
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with 2 years sales experience of capital equipment and machinery on a B2B basis.
The Role:
  Sourcing new business whilst supporting the sales team in servicing existing customers.
  Respond to technical website and telephone enquiries.
  Visit existing and potential customer sites to discuss technical issues, and conduct appropriate site surveys
  Preparation of detailed costing's/quotations for each project
  Maintain good on-going communications with customers and potential customers
  Produce sales and marketing material in-conjunction with the Marketing team
  Attend exhibitions to provide a technical presence
  Liaise with project team and client post order
Personal requirements:
  Engineering knowledge and experience of selling Engineering products on a B2B basis
  Experience of Microsoft Office with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD LT (2D mechanical layout design) would be ideal.
  A good level of English/Mathematics together with written and verbal communication skills
  Ability to work within a small dedicated team
  Confidence in negotiating situations with clients
  Full, clean, driving licence is essential.

Excellent initial & on-going training, very realistic first year earnings (which will rise significantly in 6 to 12 months), and strong future prospects to either a field based Account Manager role, or to a more senior internal role if that's your preference.
