Our client, a global leader in the manufacturer of gases, has a presence in over 75 countries, supplies over 1 million customers world-wide and in 2009 made in excess of €1 billion profit. They now have the need to recruit a Market Specialist (Speciality Gases) for their Technology & Research/Laboratory & Analysis applications.
Key Areas of responsibility include:
- Manage technical & marketing activities to optimise market visibility and development.
- Lead prospecting initiatives to detect new opportunities.
- Promote, in conjunction with the Marketing & Sales teams, selected solutions to potential & existing customers.
- Project Management of technical solutions.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows & conferences.
Skills & Experience required:
(This is a hybrid role and would suit someone who has had exposure to technical, sales & marketing disciplines within a multi-functional team).
- Good knowledge of industrial processes.
- Exposure to a laboratory environment.
- Results focused.
- Understanding of marketing mix components.
- In-depth commercial acumen, able to develop a strong business case.
- Able to work within a team to achieve/exceed objectives.
- Multi tasker; able to manage competing demands whilst remaining focussed on essentials.

Our client, a rapidly expanding consultancy operating within the field of holistic IT security solutions, has an immediate requirement for a Sales Executive, based from their West Midlands offices, to sell to the UK public and private sectors.
Reporting into the Commercial Director you will be responsible for the self generation of leads through proactive cold calling, establishing a decision maker, educating the client on the benefits of the company's solutions, booking qualified appointments, attending sales meetings, preparing quotations & proposals and subsequent account management following successful sales closure. Order values will range from 2500 to 50,000.
To apply for this excellent role you should have a proven track record of achievement within a sales role (encompassing lead generation to sales closure), ideally, although by no means essentially, services based. Furthermore you should be ambitious by nature, friendly, results driven and highly self motivated.
In return you will receive first class training, a competitive basic salary in the region of 16,000-25,000 (subject to experience) plus uncapped commission - target performance will produce in excess of 13,000 commission per annum.

The UK office of one of Europe's largest welded steel tube manufacturers has an immediate requirement for 2 additional Internal Sales / Sales Administrators.
These roles will be responsible for looking after UK based customers, responding to enquiries, quoting & processing sales orders, building sales relationships & all aspects of customer care. You will be involved in regular liaison with the manufacturing plants in Spain, France & Belgium, so additional European language skills such as Spanish or French could be advantageous, but are by no means essential.
We are looking for candidates with several years Internal Sales / Sales Administration experience who are comfortable dealing with a variety of customers at all levels & equally adept at building internal relationships. Experience in a related product area could be beneficial, but again is by no means essential as full training will be given & your customer skills are more important. Naturally you will have good attention to detail, excellent organisational skills & be fully IT literate.
