Our client, a specialist in the field of waste management & recycling, is seeking a Marketing Manager based from their head office near Telford. This is a key, strategic appointment for the business, that continues to go from strength to strength.
Reporting to the Managing Director your responsibilities will include:
Creating, developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives.
Evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implementing market plan amendments as needed.
Overseeing all marketing, advertising and promotional plans both internally and externally with clients and suppliers alike.
Creating and expanding the corporate brand and coordinating the creation of sales literature, web-site, e-shots and general promotional collateral.
Delivering all marketing activity within the agreed budget.
This role would suit a dynamic & ambitious marketing professional who has a proven track record of success within a similar, strategic, marketing position.
An excellent basic salary, in the 30,000 to 40,000 range (subject to experience) is on offer.

Our client, a publishing firm in central Birmingham, requires an Associate Editor to oversee its editorial team and support the Senior Editor in producing print and online content for a leading monthly magazine and related products.
As Associate Editor you will be covering the international corporate finance market and other board-level business issues. You will be capable of writing news and feature articles analysing the latest trends and developments within the industry, and editing articles by staff writers. You will be required to conduct interviews with leading corporate advisers (lawyers, accountants, consultants, etc.) from around the world. You will research and produce article outlines and develop interview questions to assist the sales team. You will also take an active role in the production of the magazine and its online content, including liaising with designers, sub-editing copy, proofreading, selecting pull-quotes, etc. You will be working to strict deadlines and adhering to predefined processes.
You will have previous experience in a publishing environment, ideally working on a business-related title. You will need strong creative vision, the ability to produce first-class copy for print and excellent communication skills on and off the phone. You will need exceptional management skills to organise tasks and nurture the editorial team. You will need a strong desire to build your knowledge of the corporate finance market in a short space of time, through extensive research and reading.
You will have the determination, commitment, enthusiasm and ambition to further your career, as the company aims to train the Associate Editor to advance to Senior Editor, taking full responsibility of the title within 1-2 years dependant on competency. The right candidate will have the opportunity to take control of the title and push it forward from a strong foundation.
