The Role

The Role
Reporting to the Product Manager, key duties will include:
Product File Maintenance - You will support the Product Managers with accurate and timely updates of the company central product file, making sure product descriptions, images and barcodes are correct and in place. You will also be trained on how to manage the price update process. You will require good process skills and the capability to develop an intermediate level within Excel.
Range Development Support - You will support the Product Manager in the development of current and future product ranges through research, cross referencing and gap analysis. To support this function you will receive training internally and also from key suppliers on the technical aspects of their products.
Catalogue & Pricing Support - You will be responsible for ensuring requests for information from our catalogue or pricing departments are dealt with properly as additional product ranges are launched. This will need a good level of communication skills to draw information from our suppliers effectively.
Data Entry & Analysis - Compiling and populating the department benchmarking databases. This will cover price benchmarking file, gap analysis files, competitor SWOT information, cross references and paretos.
Reporting - You will be running product reports from our business systems to support management decisions.
Marcoms - Marketing communications will be part of the process with written and visual communication being required to advise the company of or the market of new products or features.
Website - You will be responsible for the maintenance of supplier and product information on the company website, checking images and uploading new product ranges.
General Administration - There will be need for general administration and support, such as updating the company intranet with communication and content, maintaining Health & Safety data sheets etc.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate, will have an excellent appreciation of Marketing, first class Organisation and Planning skills and an abundance of enthusiasm & self motivation. You'll also be commercially astute, have excellent attention to detail and possess first class MS Office (including Excel) skills.
