Job Title:
External Sales Representative
35-38,000 basic + car + benefits
Our client, a leading, multi-branch supplier of engineering components & consumables such as Bearings, Power Transmission, Fluid Power and Lubricants is seeking an External Salesperson for the Birmingham region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising profitable sales from existing customers whilst continually exploring new business opportunities.
Specific duties will include:
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers
Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made
Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contact services
Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
Identify and resolve client concerns
Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to your Line Manager
Co-ordinate staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows etc.
Applications are invited from candidates with a proven track record in technical/engineering field sales. Candidates should be highly self-motivated and target driven, with excellent presentation skills.
On offer is a very competitive package, including a basic salary in the region of 35-38,000 (negotiable subject to experience) + bonus, company car & other fringe benefits.
