Web Designer/Front End Developer - Malvern
Immediate start - 4-6 week initial contract.
Our client, a multi-award winning business based in Malvern is seeking a talented Web Designer/Front End Developer to join their team on a contract basis to help drive forward their website. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean & artful design, possess superior UI skills and the ability to translate high-level requirements into beautiful, intuitive, and functional web pages.
Key Duties:
Work with the existing web development team to assist them with their current work load.
Collaborate with marketing and project management teams to define & implement already defined and new features on the company website.
Design & implement new designs and features within existing Wordpress
Adhere to W3C standards and accessibility guidelines
Ensure that all code is done to existing standards and is fully responsive
Monitor the website performance and make suggestions for any improvements that might help with customer experience and conversion to sign up
Establish & promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Requirements:
Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other design and wire-framing tools
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
Basic understanding of PHP will be beneficial
