Technical Sales Engineer / Business Development Executive

Midlands based, one of the UK's largest companies in their field, designing & manufacturing components & solutions for a wide range of manufacturing industries including Commercial Vehicles, Storage & Racking, Agricultural OEMS & general engineering / manufacturing.
The role involves both managing existing customers & developing new business opportunities, supported by a very effective marketing team, and strong position in the market. Maintain & improve profitable turnover, through developing customer base, exploiting new markets & new product introductions. Manage customers to provide optimum technical & commercial solution to their needs, to enable competitive quotations & good commercial awareness of the market place. Assist in the development & implementation of marketing plans & pro-actively managing CRM database.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical sales across a range of industries - specific industry experience is not required as full support will be given, but you must be technically competent & comfortable discussing engineering issues with customers. You will, of course, be fully IT literate, self motivated, ambitious & have excellent presentation skills.
