An exciting Technical Sales role with this Midlands based manufacturing group, who supply products & solutions into a wide cross section of customers including Commercial Vehicle manufacturers, Storage & Racking, Agricultural, Construction & Building industries. They are market leaders with operations in the UK & overseas, with innovative products & processes enabling them to offer technically advanced, cost effective solutions.
The Technical Sales Engineer will manage sales to existing customers, maintaining & developing profitable turnover, expanding sales & managing all aspects of the sales cycle including enquiries, quotations, proposals, presentations & business acquisition. Maintain strong market awareness to ensure customers receive optimal technical & commercial service, whilst continually searching for new markets, applications & potential customers. You will be fully supported by an effective group marketing team and feed back market intelligence to them too. The customer base is diverse, giving an opportunity to sell into many differing sectors.
The ideal candidate will be technically competent, or have a strong engineering background, coupled with a progressive career in technical sales - specific industry experience is not required, but you should be comfortable operating in a variety of different market sectors and presenting both technical & commercial aspects to all levels. Typically this is an engineering lead, application based sales approach, where products are designed & manufactured to suit customer specific requirements, necessitating the ability to discuss engineering issues from design engineer to shop floor.
