Technical & Compliance Manager (FMCG - Health & Beauty Category)
40,000-45,000 basic + bonus, pension, life cover
Our client, a long established, profitable & leading supplier of FMCG products (health & beauty category) is seeking a Technical & Compliance Manager to ensure that all compliance tasks are carried out within the businesss critical path time-line.
The company is recognised as an industry leader in terms of product innovation with a diverse and complex branded SKU portfolio, and currently have significant penetration across the UKs leading grocery, pharmacy, fashion and departmental store retailers, distributors and export channels.
Reporting to the Managing Director, and ably supported by a talented Administrator, this role is the main Quality & Compliance contact for all colleagues, customers and suppliers, specific duties including:
Finalising all product formulations and fragrance selection internally and with suppliers.
Generating artwork in compliance with product labelling regulations.
Collation & maintenance of regulatory product information files.
Registration of products on the Cosmetic Product Notification Portal.
Managing the testing program for all items to ensure all finished products are fit for purpose. Working with qualified safety assessors to generate Cosmetic Product Safety Reports per formulation. Using accredited third party testing houses to agreed & recognised performance standards.
Working closely with the NPD Department to agree & reach a technical standard per Gold Seal product.
Managing the Product Gold Seal archive for ease at seasonal in-bound inspection.
Working to a continuous improvement model with all factories to ensure Social & Ethical responsibility at all sites.
Management of factory audit programme to ensure business & customer requirements are met.
Problem solving in the event of non-conforming stock.
Managing customer/consumer complaints through to resolution.
Management of Export customer regulatory documentation.
Cross departmental support in all compliance matters

Identifying problems, creating workable solutions
Ability to work under pressure and within business critical timeline
Excellent communication skills.

A basic salary in the region of 40,000-45,000 is on offer plus bonus, pension & life cover
