The Opportunity
Our client, a market leading service provider to the Travel & Leisure sectors is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager as an integral part of their ongoing development & growth strategy.
Reporting to the Managing Director and based from the companies HQ in South Birmingham, the successful candidate will head up the Marketing team responsible for trebling the companies B2C annual turnover to 50m within 3 years.
Skill Sets & Personal Attributes:
• Experienced Consumer marketing expert across paid and natural search, effective use of social media, CRM programs, and delivering behind a brand strategy
• Experience of managing a significant online marketing budget with effective analysis of product and market to drive maximum returns with reduced Cost Per Action
• Wide knowledge of social media including how 3rd party content can be used to improve customer experience, site visit time, and sales conversion
• Knowledge of how to use the web community to improve brand recognition, site visits and sales conversions
• Extensive knowledge and experience of managing CRM programs including customer profiling & customer engagement techniques to drive site traffic & sales conversions
• The candidate will ideally have knowledge and experience of the Travel & Leisure sectors.
• Further experience of above the line consumer marketing would be a distinct advantage
• Further experience in broadcast and print media would be an advantage
• A track record of creativity both in terms of advertising, design and media usage would be desirable.
• The position will suit an experienced Marketer from a Blue Chip/larger organisation background looking for a more integrated role within a smaller but dynamic, fast moving growth business
• It will also suit an individual from a larger organisation who may be looking to step up the career ladder to a more senior role within a fast growth, privately owned business, where they will be able to have a significant influence on the success of the business.
• The candidate will need to be an effective communicator with good negotiation and commercial skills.
· This role requires that the candidate have at least 5-10 years of practical experience in a commercial marketing position
The Package
On offer is a basic salary in the region of 50,000 plus an annual bonus of between 5%-10% plus private health and pension.
