The Company
Our client, the UK subsidiary of one of the world's leading manufacturers of products for the construction sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Assistant based at their office in Halesowen.
The Role
The key functions of the role will include assisting the Marketing Manager with all aspects of product marketing to include product launch plan concept, development & execution and communication to internal and external customers. Also to undertake a wide range of Marketing Activities including developing and implementing the marketing strategy.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager this varied role will suit a confident project manager and communicator with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines for activities that will incorporate elements of the promotional mix specific to the product lines. Responsibilities will include exhibitions, sales promotions, POS & Literature conception, co-ordinating relevant training programmes/CPD seminars, direct marketing campaigns and online media. The desired applicant will also need to provide creative briefs for the in-house graphic designer and at times external agencies.
The Candidate
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with external and internal customers at all levels, liaising with other departments including product managers, sales, technical services and the Marketing Department HQ in Italy.
We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable individual with a wealth of initiative, excellent organisational skills and the ability to proactively, contribute to a wide range of marketing activities.
Qualifications should include a marketing degree or equivalent CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing and a minimum of 3 years marketing experience - knowledge of the construction industry would be advantageous but is by no means essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint) is essential; training will be provided for AS400 system. Full driving licence essential.
Hours of work: 08:30 to 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch, Monday to Friday. This role will include occasional out of hours work and overnight stays for hospitality events and exhibitions (in the UK and Italy).
