Senior Conference Sales Coordinator (Hotel)
25,000 basic + bonus + pension + 25 days holiday (& 8 statutory)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, shifts between 8am-6pm
Our client, a long established Hotel & Conference venue on the outskirts of Birmingham is seeking a Senior Conference Sales Coordinator to be the lead person in the Conference Sales team, supervising one other sales co-ordinator.
This role would suit a self-motivated, proactive sales person happy to work as part of a team or individually with a driven goal to achieving venue budgets, developing new clients through proactive calling and maintaining & growing existing clients by implementing a successful account management strategy.
Reporting to the General Manager duties will include:
Participating in the identification of sales leads and proactively seeking new business
Day to day management of the booking system, ensuring timely and accurate recording of client requirements from enquiry through to arrival
Maintaining customer profiles in the companys CRM system
Maximising revenue by implementing good yield management practices
Greeting incoming clients, ensuring satisfaction during their stay, and actively seeking feedback after departure
Encouraging repeat business through the establishment of good client relationships
Establishing and maintaining good relationships with existing conference agents, and identifying & nurturing new contacts
Preparing accurate invoices and ensuring that these are sent out in a timely manner and that the company credit policy is adhered to
Demonstrating flexibility to meet evening and weekend customer demand, where necessary, for show rounds, familiarisation trips, open days etc.
Making proactive calls and ensuring all the data is correctly obtained and logged in the company CRM system.
Carrying out site visits in a professional and hospitable manner to new and existing clients with the view to confirming their business.
