The company:
A leading supplier of commercial fire detection solutions to commercial companies in more than 175 countries, allowing them to effectively implement fire detection suctions throughout their plant ensuring safety and protection is maintained at all times
The role :
As part of a team of 9 Technical sales professionals, you will be reporting to the UK Sales Manager and directly responsible for selling commercial fire detection solutions to the whole sale market (Electrical Wholesalers / Distributors and M&E Contractors).
Please note that this is specifically a B2B sales role selling directly to Wholesalers who will then provide the route to market (again on a B2B basis).
You will need to possess a strong technical knowledge of Commercial Fire detection equipment (or equivalent scale commercial Emergency lighting or Alarm detection solutions).
Please note that you will be only dealing with large scale commercial solutions, therefore this role will only suite an experience sales person with the relevant commercial background
Duties:
Achieve set sales targets whilst maximizing required margins
Manage a sales portfolio of circa 2.5m
Continuously monitor and improve the conversion rate of quotes to orders for the region.
Be aware of, and respond to market conditions and competitive activities
Provide a solution through a wide portfolio of Commercial Fire detection products.
Develop long term relationships with electrical wholesalers / distributors and M&E Contractors
Understand all of the product range available to you, and their competitive position in the region.
Communicate the customers satisfaction and/or needs in relation to the companies Strategies, Policies, Program and CRM
Provide senior management with useful market information - business conditions, results achieved and actions planned.
Requirements:
Technical education preferred - HNC / HND or above
3 - 5 years minimum relevant professional experience
Detailed knowledge and understanding of Commercial fire detection equipment
Knowledge of Relevant Fire industry standards: BS5839-1
Broad understanding of sales processes, strategies and project management.
Ability to manage a 2.5m sales portfolio
It is essential that you hold a full UK driving license.
