The Company
A Birmingham based Training & Conference Centre offering 22 conference & training rooms, the largest comfortably seating upto 275 people, and 54 bedrooms.
1.PURPOSE OF THE JOB*Manage the reservations team in the quest for new business sales and the development of existing clients *Participate with the management team in the direction of the business ensuring its success and the achievement of its business objectives2.KEY ACCOUNTABILITY'S(i) Revenue/Sales-maximise revenue through effective management of all in house sales activities including:new business sales callsaccount penetration of existing clientsanalysis of denied and cancelled businessrecapture of lapsed usersfam trips, open days, corporate lunches-ensure optimum occupancy by monitoring peaks and troughs and implementing an appropriate strategy -yield manage the diary through effective rate setting in conjunction with the Front of House Manager, and negotiation -maximise revenue from e bookings-set and update rate matrix to produce maximum revenue(iii) Quality-carry out effective showrounds, and conduct exit interviews -ensure The Beeches is well placed to capture business through detailed competitor knowledge and analysis (iv) Staff-lead, manage and develop the team through setting and monitoring targets, daily/weekly job chats and effective performance review (v) Health and Safety-ensure compliance with health and safetyrequirements and the provision of a safe working environment3.RESPONSIBILITIES*Selection, training and development of staff within the team*Delivery of service standards and departmental objectives*Discipline and control of the team*Health and Safety issues throughout the department4.THE ROLEHands-on and participative within the sales teamFocused on the provision of excellent service standards5.
