Marketing Executive

Our client, a successful retail group with outlets across the country, is looking to recruit a Marketing Executive to join their head office marketing team based in the West Midlands. This would suit a talented Marketing Assistant looking for their next step up the career ladder.
The main focus of the role is to support the Marketing Manager in driving traffic and enquiries into the business for all departments. This will involve the use of a number of mediums including Direct Mail, On & Offsite events, Point of Sale as well as assisting in digital activity including e-shots. Although this advertisement will outline key duties and responsibilities it does not define the entire job and the role requires adaptability to a number of duties as the business requires. There is also an expectation for the role to assist with department cover in other roles.
Key duties will include:
Briefing agencies on creative, production and fulfilment of various marketing campaigns
Executing marketing campaigns, including the implementation and monitoring of the success
Managing and co-ordinating on and offsite events across all sites
Negotiating with printers/fulfilment agencies on marketing material and merchandise
Production of occasional in-house mailers
Monitoring competitiveness against competitors
Ensuring a fast response to any market changes and subsequent offer changes
Extracting & vetting data for marketing campaigns from the company systems.
Assisting with maintaining the website and e-shots including the use of the content management systems
Communicating with management on a regular basis including gathering information and reporting to help assess performance of campaigns.
Monthly reporting for senior management including KPIs, Competitor Analysis, performance monitoring etc.
To apply for this role you will ideally have a minimum of 2 years marketing experience, either b2c or b2b related. This should provide you with the ability to:
Organise day to day duties around ad-hoc requirements. Liaising with the Head of Marketing to understand your priorities and reprioritising duties where needed based on departmental requirements. To meet deadlines set at all times.
Gather information from various means to gain a broad understanding of business activity and its results. The ability to analyse this information and make recommendations for areas of improvement that will assist traffic and conversion levels.
Use a broad range of personal and interpersonal skills to analyse problems and make effective decision. To plan and organise activities for self and communicate clear and consistent messages to maintain effectiveness and efficiency of the business.
On offer is a basic salary of 18-20,000.
