Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the company's sales and marketing functions. This is a key role to ensure that our clients marketing and sales activities are planned, managed, executed and measured in a coordinated and effective manner. The aim of this role is to raise awareness of our clients niche technology and services and to generate sales leads from marketing activity in key target market sectors.
Our clients sales and marketing activity is B2B, with two types of customer: manufacturers who use their technology, brand and support services, and the end-user who buys the manufacturers products with our cients 'product' as a key feature.
Key Responsibilities:
To plan, manage and evaluate all branding and marketing activities, including exhibitions, advertising, PR, online and direct marketing. This involves developing an overall strategic marketing plan and then implementing each activity working with the marketing assistant.
To develop, implement and measure marketing campaigns, work closely with the sales team, to generate sales leads across a variety of sectors e.g healthcare, food and catering, construction etc.
To develop the brand, through regular review of marketing literature, advertising and online resources.
To manage the agencies and suppliers involved in the marketing and sales functions, building good relationships and ensuring value for money. Current agencies include a PR, exhibition, creative and website agency.
To plan and manage the marketing budget, ensuring all marketing projects remain within budget and monthly cashflow parameters.
To have total responsibility for the brand, ensuring it is used correctly by the agencies, agents and partners, ensuring uniformity and usage in-line with brand guidelines and brand values.
To work closely with Customer Account Managers to ensure partners maximise use of the brand as part of their own marketing plans.
To manage all communication tools, including monthly newsletters, the partner portal and Partner Focus, used to communicate with both the internal team and partners & agents.
Experience & Skills
To apply for this role you should be a graduate with at least two years experience in marketing within a B2B environment.
Furthermore you should have excellent communications skills, people management skills, copy writing & proof reading skills and project management skills.
You should have proven analytical skills, be experienced at setting annual budgets & forecasting monthly spend and have a demonstrable track record of managing external agencies.
