A new role being created by this award winning Architectural Practice as part of their strategic business growth plans. They have a substantial track record of designing & developing for many building & construction sectors including Social & Housing developments; School Buildings; Industrial; Office & Commercial; Sports Facilities; through to international Flight Training Centres, both in the UK & worldwide. There is a growing emphasis on designing for energy efficiency, sustainability & modular building systems.
The Marketing & Business Development Manager will work closely with the directors to identify & establish opportunities for business growth, raise the profile of the practice & develop constructive relationships across the industry with key clients & influencers. You will manage the bids & tender process with the aim of securing significant design projects across all sectors.
Develop marketing strategies, establish & manage social media activities, review & develop branding & marketing materials, developing a pool of quality marketing resources & ensure a professional image is portrayed across all marketing activities.
Sourcing & monitoring appropriate tender opportunities in line with business strategy, completing with input from directors ensuring a high standard of presentation & demonstration of the practice's abilities & credentials. This will also involve preparing & attending tender interviews & presentations.
Monitor & analyse trends & influences within the sector, leading to identification of new opportunities for growth.
Create opportunities for introductions & meetings with larger clients such as Housing Associations & main Contractors.
Build & maintain relationships with existing & new clients, attending professional body & industry led events to develop contacts & 'market' the practice.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of marketing & business development skills, with the ability to spot opportunities & convert these to profitable business. Specific industry experience is not a pre-requisite, but you will need to have an understanding of marketing & business development within a services environment and ideally some connection to, or experience of the building & construction sectors. Experience of securing business through a bids & tenders process would be useful, but again is not essential. Naturally you will be fully IT literate & have excellent presentation, writing & communication skills. This role calls for an enthusiastic & dynamic individual, with a professional outlook & strong customer focus.
The role can easily be part home based if required, so location can be flexible.
