Key Account Manager
North Midlands to North England (home based)
30 - 35,000 basic + Bonus + Choice of car (e.g. BMW 320D) & benefits
An excellent Technical Sales opportunity with a worldwide manufacturer of mechanical components & solutions, supplied into a wide cross section of industries including niche Automotive, Aerospace, Off-Highway, Chemical / Process, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Semiconductors & many more.
This new role is being created due to record results in 2010 & the need to therefore strengthen the Sales & Marketing team. You will manage approx 30 existing Key Accounts, taking full commercial & technical responsibility for customer liaison at all levels, managing existing projects & positioning the business to secure future projects & revenue growth. Naturally you'll grow to contribute to new business development & work closely with all other members of the Sales & Marketing team.
The ideal candidate will be commercially astute & have a proven track record in technical sales into a cross section of industries - specific product experience is not required, but you will need a technical background in mechanical engineering, or possibly polymers to be able to create the right levels of credibility with your customers. You will have a keen eye for detail & be accustomed to proposing technical solutions to customers & managing the sales process from initial enquiry through all stages to production sign-off.
Negotiable remuneration package will include good basic, quarterly bonus (paid c20% in 2010), choice of car, BUPA, pension, laptop, mobile etc.
As a home based role (Head Office in the Midlands), suitable locations could include North Midlands, Staffordshire, Nottingham, Derby, Manchester, Cheshire, Leeds, or anywhere along the M62 corridor.
