Internal Account Manager - IT

18-20,000 basic; 30,000 ote - uncapped
Our client, based Birmingham, is an independent supplier of IT hardware and software, partnering with such manufacturers as HP, Cisco, Dell, IBM, Microsoft and Toshiba. As part of their ongoing expansion plans they now require an additional Internal Account Manager to proactively manage a select number of Corporate, Public Sector and Education accounts
Reporting to the Head of Sales the successful candidate will be responsible for developing key relationships with all contacts within each account with a view to optimising turnover & profitability and thereby achieving the sales targets set by their manager. Working closely with the External Sales Team an essential aspect of the role is to get 'under the skin' of each account and understand their short, medium and long term IT needs.
To apply for this role you should have a proven track record within a sales environment, if IT related then all the better - although this is by no means essential. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a proactive, self motived and disciplined approach to work.
A basic salary in the region 18-20,000 is on offer plus uncapped commission.
