Job Title:
Head of Procurement - Azerbaijan
35-40,000 + benefits
My Global client is looking for a specialist, based Azerbaijan, to lead and develop a Procurement department and to ensure that all client spend is controlled and managed effectively while delivering demonstrable value for money across all departments.
Your Main responsibilities will be:
To provide strategic direction for company-wide procurement efforts.
Participate with the company's leadership in the establishment, communication and implementation of business goals.
Agree and measure business targets for Procurement performance including cost savings. Set negotiation and supplier management strategies and targets.
Review and negotiate contracts with large-scale suppliers to achieve appropriate savings and service levels.
Review procurement contracts for commercial position and conformance with contract law; consult with legal counsel as required. Ensure that all legal contract requirements are met.
Manage relationships with internal departments, including removing obstacles to ensure optimal team performance.
Ensure functionality of procurement cycle in ERP system. Resolve operational issues; implement changes as necessary. Communicate strategic issues/changes to team; build commitment and confidence.
Set / administer team and departmental KPIs, track all measurement data; provide feedback to team members and Management on overall performance on a regular basis; keep the purpose, goals and approach relevant and meaningful. Identify training needs for staff; provide or secure training for team members; strengthen the mix and level of skills within the team.
You will be responsible for the management of all staff in Procurement department covering Buyers, Administration and Expediting Staff
Qualifications:Bachelor Degree.
At least 3 year experience in Procurement management role.
Experience in negotiating commercial and legal terms and conditions
Professional skills
Excel, Word, Outlook Express, PowerPoint
Personal qualifications and characteristics
Knowledge of business principles such as procurement, materials logistics management, business and contract law, licensing, leasing, finance and accounting.
Possess knowledge of contractual terms and requirements with regard to the acquisition of equipment and services.
Demonstrate the ability to evaluate legal and business risk/ramifications of proposed contractual terms and negotiate pricing, legal, business terms and conditions with vendors,
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills. Able to build high levels of Business trust. A balance of assertiveness, tact and diplomacy is needed.
Ability to quickly identify and understand the key drivers of any given Business Unit
People Leadership - interpreting, shaping, aligning and inspiring people to achieve results with good coaching, mentoring and counseling skills
Task management skills including time management, workload management and delegation skills
