Finance Assistant

Our client, a leading Halesowen based Manufacturing business is seeking a Finance/Administration Assistant to provide support to the Financial & Administration team in a very busy, but varied environment.
Specific duties will include: assisting the Credit Manager to effectively chase overdue debt by means of written, verbal & telephone communication; assisting with the investigation and resolution of customer queries; assisting with allocation of cash on a daily basis; ensuring customer statements are sent out in a timely manner; establishing a working relationship with key customer accounts; provide account managers, customer services department and all of the management team with required customer information as and when necessary; back up for processing account applications from receipt of form to entry onto system.
To apply for this role you should have a high level of expertise on Microsoft office packages (outlook, word & excel) plus a minimum of five GCSE's to grade 'C', including Maths & English. You will have excellent communication skills, including a very good telephone manner, be highly self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail. Candidates with a higher level of Accountancy/Finance education such as AAT or CIMA are also encouraged to apply for this role.
On offer is a basic salary in the region of 16-20,000, subject to experience plus benefits. Working hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 0830-1700 with 1 hour for lunch.
