Our client, a leading international manufacturer of home & outdoor storage solutions is seeking a Customer Service & Quality Manager, focusing into their UK retail interests, including Argos, HRG, B & Q, Wilkinsons, Tesco, Amazon & Makro.
The role:
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic UK Management team and will report into the UK Supply Chain Manager, specific duties including:
Manage a team of 3 product advisers dealing with consumer questions, requests for spare parts and warranty issues
Deal with all escalated issues arising from the consumer services team
Authorising refunds and goodwill gestures in line with product warranties
Analyse and report reason for parts requests. Report findings to relevant group factories
Provide cover in the call centre during holiday and peak periods
Manage spare part stock ensuring purchase orders are placed in line with requirements ensuring that key parts remain in stock.
Oversee the third party warehousing operation for spare parts.
Carry out annual stock take along with any ad hoc counts that may be required
Oversee and manage carrier performance through close liaison and analysis / approval of freight invoices
Main Quality contact/coordinator for Product Testing, SEDEX, REACH, Packaging Compliance Database, FIRA, BSI, LOFA
Main Quality/Data contact for Argos with specific regard to: flow of sales samples in and out of the UK; Packaging and environmental reporting to Department of Environment; Selection Samples; Specification Forms - New Selections and renewals; Product Information Forms; Pre shipment Inspection; Track Record Global (TRG) New Product Technical File Submissions for assessment and renewals; labelling authority; Merchandise Quality Defect Reports; damage analysis and reporting; consumer review responses; Customer Services Q&A; Product Testing
The candidate:
To apply for this role you should have a proven track record within a similar role, dealing with UK retailers such as Argos, B & Q, Wilkinsons, Tesco, Amazon & Makro.
You will have an excellent telephone manner with the ability to come across in both an empathetic but also a professional manner. You should have a high level of competence in Microsoft office particularly Excel.
You will ideally have warehousing / storekeeping management experience, a flexible/pragmatic approach to work and a practical/DIY outlook, in keeping with the products that our client manufactures.
On offer is a basic salary in the region of 30-35,000 plus benefits
