Business Development Manager - Data Centre solutions - Greater East Midlands
I am recruiting a Business Development Manager for a leading provider of data centre design, build solutions and maintenance service agreements. The role will cover either Greater East Midlands or the South West depending upon the location of the suitable applicant.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Director this role is purely and solely responsible for new Business Development on a B2B level.
As an experienced Business Development Manager within the field of data centre solutions and I.T. services, you will use your knowledge to provide companies with the right solution to their needs within an agreed budget.
As some clients may be incorporating your solutions in partnership with expanding or moving premises, your proposal will range from design, supply, installation and maintenance support contracts.
Key Responsibilities

  Business Development - you will be required to develop new clients through direct new business development
  Planning - You will be required to developing a dynamic, robust and structured sales plan that will ensure exposure of the company to new contacts and markets with your region
  Marketing - You will be encouraged to utilize the company's existing marketing tools to develop discrete and holistic marketing campaigns to work alongside your sales plan.
  Targets - You will have a determined and uncompromising approach to reaching targets of circa 600k.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate experience of the above on their CV when applying for the role
Essential requirements
  Full UK driving license
  Be able to cover either the Greater East Midlands or the South West as your area
  A proven sales background within the data centre, I.T services or facilities management solutions industry
  A technical understanding and at least two years experience selling the following to businesses:
oUPS systems
oComputer and telecommunications storage systems
oFire detection systems
oData cable storage solutions
oSwitch gear
oTemperature control systems
oPreventative maintenance packages
oService agreements
  The ability to articulate data centre solutions within the mediums of both CAD and written proposals.
  Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  The ability to create a sustainable business opportunity pipeline.
  Dedicated and hardworking with a proven ability to deliver against targets.
