Business Development / Account Manager to report to and work closely with the Managing Director. The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to develop a base of new clients. This will involve making new business calls, attending meetings and preparing pitch/presentation documents. The secondary focus of the role is as an Account Manager. The post holder will have their own clients / accounts to manage. Managing accounts will involve client liaison, preparing briefing documentation, brainstorm sessions and liaising with members of the design team. Proven project management skills are also needed as there is always the need to juggle / multi-task
Key responsibilities
70% Business Development
30% Account Management
Ideally the post holder will have a broad range of experience in business development and account management, preferably in a similar creative environment. Skills and experience in specific market sectors are welcome.
The post holder will be able to:
Communicate using a variety of methods (verbal - both client facing and over the telephone, written - preparing and pitching presentations, preparing design briefs, contact reports) etc.
make appropriate decisions and prioritise work schedules
problem solve to find the best solution for clients
motivate themselves and associated team members
This role is with an agency who work on a full range of design, marketing and new media services to a wide and varied client base. From developing brand names, consumer packaging and corporate literature, to creative marketing campaigns and bespoke website solutions.
Services include branding, advertising campaigns, corporate and promotional marketing collateral, PR, marketing campaigns and website solutions at all levels.
