My client is a global giant and they are seeking an outsanding Brand Manager to join their Marketing Communications team based in Central London.
The role holder is primarily responsible for managing the companys brand image and its evolution in partnership with their design agency. This is critical in leveraging not only the brand values but value from their own brand. This is central to their ambition to become a super brand.
This is a senior role combining strategy and implementation with responsibility for implementing the brand image in the development of internal and external marketing collateral.
As well as ensuring corporate design standards are met so must the business objectives be achieved with the right style and tone for the audience.
Business Performance
The role holder is responsible for the creation of high quality communication materials across the business that:
   Support the various business functions to ensure that messages are delivered in the most appropriate manner (an example of this is communicating safe health and safety practices to operatives and drivers)
   Stimulate Sales Development, ensuring all commissioned advertisements and materials, including promotional flyers/mail shots etc, include a call for action as well as accurate messages and information
   Ensure that the sales force is equipped with concise attractive marketing materials to support the tender process e.g. suite of company literature, Standard Tender Document, Sales Tool Kit etc.
Work with commercial and industrial functions to develop tactical sales materials and work with local depots on specific sales campaigns
The role holder needs to ensure that the companys money is best used by ensuring high quality literature in order to avoid mistakes and potential costs.
Projects range from small amounts up to 30,000. Performance is measured through are internal departmental feedback mechanism as well as liaising with customers on an informal basis in order to ensure their requirements have been met in order to deliver future improvements
Internal customers (the business) Ensuring high quality, accurate, visually attractive and stimulating materials and imagery that are fit for the customers' purpose and acceptable to promote comapny services or drive home key messages that need to be communicated within the company. Stimulate company sales ability in addition to demonstrating the company's credentials and areas of appeal e.g. Employer of Choice etc The impact of literature on all stakeholders -suppliers -analysts -MPs -Local Authorities -Competitors -Media
The role holder's responsibility to people (internal customers) is to produce accurate documents that are fit for purpose and that meet their requirements and aspirations. These documents must fit with the values and key message of the company. They must be in line with corporate identity guidelines both visually and format-wise.
The role holder will work closely with the Graphic Designer regarding the production of a whole host of internal and external material (including the designs to be used on the walls of our buildings) in line with corporate identity guidelines. However the role holder will not manage the Graphic Designer as a direct report.
The role holder will report to the Production Services Manager who will have overall responsibility for the delivery of material and production scheduling and will also have a responsibility in being part of the communications team.
The role holder is responsible for leading the development of the brand and corporate guidelines
The role holder leads the overall process of making sure the literature delivers what it is supposed to deliver - knowing how things should be placed spatially and how everything should fit together whilst also working within corporate guidelines.
