An exciting new Brand / Product Manager role with a manufacturer of global brands.
Reporting to the Sr Brand Manager and empowered with leading a Product Category across the entire EMEA region, the position has the following core leadership areas:
Drive strategy development and NPD-pipeline generation for the
category to achieve long-term financial objectives.
Deliver the annual fiscal plan through implementation of the category strategy and commercialisation of the NPD pipeline with the local Sales & Marketing teams, with particular focus on the UK.
Specific Responsibilities
Develop and implement the category strategy (NPD, Derivatives, Fashion & commercialisation)
In conjunction with the UK channel manager, develop and deliver the roadmap per account.
Manage category portfolio and product range to reduce business complexity (incl. Fashion), improve
margins, and optimise working-capital management.
Build strong market understanding and champion consumer needs throughout the organisation.
Define and control NPD requirements, including pricing and costing, with R&D and Sales teams.
Manage projects with R&D, suppliers and other process partners through formal NPD gates.
Work with Marcomms and Trade Marketing to develop winning communication and commercialisation strategies.
Follow-up on product launches with the Sales & Marketing teams to ensure delivery against original commitments and capture of key business learnings.
Key Relationships
Market Research, focused on consumer understanding and new-idea generation.
Fashion and R&D, focused on consumer-centric NPD-pipeline development.
Supply Chain, focused on systematic product-cost optimisation and timely initiative launches.
Sales and Trade marketing focused on commercial strategies to win with shoppers and retail customers.
Marcomms, focused on effective and cost-efficient consumer communication.
Finance, focused on robustness of financial plans and strategies.
Ability to build strong relationships, cross functionally
Candidate Requirements
Graduate in Economics, Business, Marketing or similar
At least five years experience in brand management and product development in matrix environments and consumer-focused businesses.
Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel analysis and PowerPoint delivery.
International experience, with multi-lingual fluency a strong bonus.
