This accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to play a strategic role in the future success of this award winning business. Regarded as one of the most progressive professional services firms in the UK and leaders in the provision of accountancy, business advisory and risk management services our client has over 1000 staff based across 15 offices, to providing clients with advice and support services for their tax, accounting, finance & business issues.
The role of Bid Manager will be responsible supporting the generation of 40% of the firm's income, whilst managing a team of 2 Bid Executives. The Bid team are responsible for the production of in excess of 500 PQQs and tenders / proposals per year (public and corporate sector) across, all disciplines of the firm. As Bid Manager it will be your responsibility to identify and evaluate contracts to bid for and effectively project manage the bid through to submission, from managing all aspects from initial expression of interest through to the final presentation. With 360 degree responsibility this will include ensuring outcomes are followed through for feedback, identifying reasons for wins and losses and recorded for future management information to assist in the ongoing competitive improvement of the Bid team's performance. As leader of the Bid team, this hands on role will involve responsibility for training, development and motivation of a small supporting team, and take ultimate responsibility for ensuring all work is produced to the highest standards within deadlines as well as working very closely with Senior level Partners.
We are interested in applications from individuals with current Bid Manager experience ideally this will be within the professional services sector, accountancy, law etc, with team leadership or management experience. Your experience will include an indepth knowledge of how to respond to corporate and public sector ITT's / PQQs. We also require strong creative writing ability, excellent level of English grammar and language and an appreciation of how to blend sales/marketing messages with heavy technical content is absolutely paramount. An understanding of the services that a leading accounting and business advisory firm offers will be an advantage but is by no means essential. You must have excellent IT skills, and in particular advanced knowledge of Word and Powerpoint.
